installer og setup mdadm monitorering, nagios raid check, eller noget andet. Du skal sikkert også bruge en smtp server på den maskine som kan sende emailen til dig. Desuden skal al root@ mail sikkert være redelegeret til en adresse du læser.

Nu hvor det hele ser godt ud, så kører du lige:
	mdadm manage --readwrite /dev/md0

eller noget tilsvarende, læs evt. man siden.
	man mdadm

Bagefter skal du køre følgende kommando:
	badblocks -sv /dev/md0

check output

dmesg
check output

og kør
	badblocks -svn /dev/md0
