Du har ikke mulighed for at have dem på en server i stedet, og så blot montere en NFS-mappe på de tre maskiner? Eller lade en af de tre maskiner "lege server" ?

Jeg bruger SVN repositories på 4-8 GB uden problemer, hvor to er til nogenlunde samme formål som dit.

Men ellers ville jeg selv tage rsync hvis jeg skulle bruge noget lignende det du beskriver.
