Perl og tolkning af fejlmeddelelser

Hej !

Jeg er absolut ikke nogen haj til perl, hvilket helt sikkert er årsagen til
at jeg ikke kan tyde
svaret fra perl. Det skrevne koden er hentet fra Internettet. Linie numre
i venstre  side
fremkommer med cat -b . Kan nogen tolke perl's melding nederst. PFT Poul
NB! manglende linier 23-27 er udkommenteret.

my $sth = $dbh1->prepare($sql);
    20          $sth->execute();
    21          my($id, $ver, $z303_name);

    22        $sth->bind_columns(undef, \$id, \$ver, \$z303_name);

.

28             while( $sth->fetch() ) {
    29               print "Object: $id, $ver, $z303_name\n";
    30         }
    31         $sth->finish();

Can't call method "execute" on an undefined value at ./test line 23 (#1)
    (F) You used the syntax of a method call, but the slot filled by the
    object reference or package name contains an undefined value. Something
    like this will reproduce the error:

        $BADREF = undef;
        process $BADREF 1,2,3;
        $BADREF->process(1,2,3);

Uncaught exception from user code:
        Can't call method "execute" on an undefined value at ./test line 23.
