Tak for svaret.
som du har gættet er jeg ny i SVN, vant til at bruge CVS.

Det giver ikke så meget mening at snakke om et snapshot, som du selv
giver udtryk for i det følgende er en mixed version working copy ikke
umiddelbart identificerbar.

well, et tag er vel netop et snapshot, som kan udpege en mixed version entydigt.



Det kan gøres meget enklere med svnversion.


Det var et godt tip, jeg er ikke fortrolig med alle hjælpeværktøjerne endnu.

svnversion vil dog - så vidt jeg kan læse - ofte give mig et span af revisionsnumre
f.eks. 41:48
selv i tilfælde hvor koden egentlig er identitisk med revision 48.


Jeg synes det vil være bekvemt ikke at være tvunget til en update ( for at bringe hele koden til revision 48 ), for der kunne jo være ændringer jeg ikke er interesseret i lige nu.
Altså er det stadig kun en 'svn diff -r 48' der kan afsløre for mig om koden er ækvivalent med 'revision 48'.


Et tag i Subversion er jo bare en konvention og giver dig for så vidt
ikke mere end hvis du bygger en veldefineret version af trunk.

Johh, men når man står med en mixed version er tags vel netop MÅDEN hvorpå en version bliver veldefineret. ( Udover det at man selv kan notere sig samtlige filer og deres revisionsnumre. )
