"fri software"/"frit programmel" er lidt for tæt på
GNU-udtrykket til at det er hensigtsmæssigt at bruge det om
"Open Source", så medmindre vi vil vælge at bruge ét enkelt
udtryk om både GNU- og OS-programmel, så bør vi nok vælge et
andet udtryk.

Martins "åben kildkod" er nok lidt bedre i den forstand.

Jeg foretrækker at benytte "frit programmel" om "free
software à la GNU", så her er der nogle forslag til en dansk
betegnelse for "open source software":

 - åbent programmel
 - åben kode
 - åben kildekode
 - åben kildetekst

> - Folk kan uden nærmere introduktion godt se en forskel på gratis og fri

Det kan vi klare ved enten at vælge at benytte samme udtryk
for begge dele, eller ved at acceptere at "frit programmel"
altså er à la GNU og benytte et udtryk der er tættere på
"open source" til det.

Nørders almindelige modvilje mod at skrive ordentligt dansk.
